Biography

I started my tertiary studies at Iran University of Science and Technology, in 1997, when I enrolled in a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering degree. With a focus on system planning and analysis I finished my bachelor degree in 2001. Next I extended my knowledge of various aspects of Optimisation Modelling and Revenue Management with a Master of Engineering degree at Sharif University of Iran. During this period I took a position as an Operations Research / Management Science Analyst in the automotive industry and continued this role for nearly five years. In August 2007 I migrated to Australia and was awarded a CUPS scholarship which supported just over 3 years study for a PhD in Applied Mathematics under the supervision of Professor Lou Caccetta, at Curtin. During these years I got involved in some tutoring which led me to realise that I had the passion to be part of Academia. Since my PhD completion in 2010, I have become a full time researcher and lecturer.
